Based on the information from the URL provided, the Rat Pi Proinsulin CLIA Kit (RTES00469) is specifically designed for the quantitative measurement of proinsulin levels in rat serum, plasma, and tissue homogenates. With its high sensitivity and specificity, this kit ensures accurate and reproducible results, making it a valuable tool for research studies focusing on diabetes, metabolism, and insulin regulation in rats.Proinsulin is a precursor to insulin that plays a crucial role in glucose metabolism and the regulation of blood sugar levels. Abnormal levels of proinsulin can indicate insulin resistance, impaired insulin production, or other metabolic disorders, making it a significant biomarker for studying diabetes and related conditions.
Overall, the Rat Pi Proinsulin CLIA Kit is an essential tool for researchers looking to better understand the mechanisms of insulin regulation and explore potential therapeutic interventions for metabolic disorders in rat models. With its reliable performance and ease of use, this kit is a valuable asset for advancing research in the field of diabetes and metabolism.

This CLIA kit uses the Sandwich-CLIA principle. The micro CLIA plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to Rat PI. Standards or samples are added to the micro CLIA plate wells and combined with the specific antibody. Then a biotinylated detection antibody specific for Rat PI and Avidin-Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) conjugate are added successively to each micro plate well and incubated. Free components are washed away. The substrate solution is added to each well. Only those wells that contain Rat PI, biotinylated detection antibody and Avidin-HRP conjugate will appear fluorescence. The Relative light unit (RLU) value is measured by the Chemiluminescence immunoassay analyzer. The RLU value is positively associated with the concentration of Rat PI. You can calculate the concentration of Rat PI in the samples by comparing the RLU value of the samples to the standard curve.
