The Rat AQP-4 (Aquaporin-4) CLIA Kit is a reliable and accurate tool for measuring levels of AQP-4 in rat serum, plasma, and tissue culture samples. This kit offers high sensitivity and specificity, ensuring precise and consistent results for various research applications.Aquaporin-4 is a key protein that plays a critical role in regulating water movement in the central nervous system, particularly in the brain and spinal cord. Dysregulation of AQP-4 has been linked to various neurological disorders such as multiple sclerosis, neuromyelitis optica, and brain edema, highlighting its importance as a potential biomarker for these conditions.
With its advanced technology and user-friendly design, the Rat AQP-4 CLIA Kit is a valuable resource for researchers investigating the role of AQP-4 in neurological diseases and exploring potential therapeutic strategies.

This CLIA kit uses the Sandwich-CLIA principle. The micro CLIA plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to Rat AQP-4. Standards or samples are added to the micro CLIA plate wells and combined with the specific antibody. Then a biotinylated detection antibody specific for Rat AQP-4 and Avidin-Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) conjugate are added successively to each micro plate well and incubated. Free components are washed away. The substrate solution is added to each well. Only those wells that contain Rat AQP-4, biotinylated detection antibody and Avidin-HRP conjugate will appear fluorescence. The Relative light unit (RLU) value is measured by the Chemiluminescence immunoassay analyzer. The RLU value is positively associated with the concentration of Rat AQP-4. You can calculate the concentration of Rat AQP-4 in the samples by comparing the RLU value of the samples to the standard curve.
