The Mouse TER-119 Monoclonal Antibody FITC Conjugated (TER-119-AGEL1567) is a specialized antibody designed for research applications involving the TER-119 marker, a cell surface antigen associated with erythroid cells. This monoclonal antibody, conjugated with FITC for fluorescence detection, is ideal for use in flow cytometry and immunofluorescence assays for the specific identification and characterization of TER-119-positive cells in mouse samples.TER-119 is a well-known marker for erythroid cells in mice, playing a crucial role in hematopoiesis and erythropoiesis processes.
The availability of a reliable and validated monoclonal antibody targeting TER-119, such as TER-119-AGEL1567, is essential for studying erythroid cell development, maturation, and function in normal physiology and various disease states. Researchers in the fields of hematology, immunology, and stem cell biology will find this antibody valuable for investigating erythroid-lineage cells in experimental models and understanding their roles in health and disease.

Background:
The TER-119 antigen is a 52 kD glycophorin A-associated protein, also known as Ly-76. TER-119 is an erythroid-specific antigen expressed on early proerythroblasts to mature erythrocytes, but not on erythroid colony-forming cells (BFU-E, blast-forming unit erythroid, or CFU-E, colony-forming unit erythroid).
