Mouse SPA (Pulmonary Surfactant Associated Protein A) ELISA Kit
The Mouse SPA (Pulmonary Surfactant Associated Protein A) ELISA Kit is specifically designed for the precise measurement of SPA levels in mouse serum, plasma, and cell culture supernatants. With its high sensitivity and specificity, this kit ensures accurate and consistent results, making it an indispensable tool for a variety of research applications.SPA is a vital protein that plays a crucial role in lung function, specifically in maintaining the surface tension of the alveoli and preventing lung collapse.
Dysregulation of SPA levels has been implicated in various pulmonary diseases, such as acute respiratory distress syndrome and interstitial lung disease, highlighting the importance of monitoring SPA levels.By accurately quantifying SPA levels, researchers can gain valuable insights into lung health and disease progression, ultimately leading to a deeper understanding of pulmonary disorders and the development of innovative therapeutic approaches.

This ELISA kit uses the Sandwich-ELISA principle. The micro ELISA plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to Mouse SP-A1. Standards or samples are added to the micro ELISA plate wells and combined with the specific antibody. Then a biotinylated detection antibody specific for Mouse SP-A1 and Avidin-Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) conjugate are added successively to each micro plate well and incubated. Free components are washed away. The substrate solution is added to each well. Only those wells that contain Mouse SP-A1, biotinylated detection antibody and Avidin-HRP conjugate will appear blue in color. The enzyme-substrate reaction is terminated by the addition of stop solution and the color turns yellow. The optical density (OD) is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450 nm ± 2 nm. The OD value is proportional to the concentration of Mouse SP-A1. You can calculate the concentration of Mouse SP-A1 in the samples by comparing the OD of the samples to the standard curve.
