The Mouse NK1.1 Monoclonal Antibody, Biotin Conjugated (PK136) is designed for advanced research involving NK1.1, a key cell surface molecule expressed by natural killer (NK) cells that plays a crucial role in immune regulation. This monoclonal antibody, raised in mice, is highly reactive with mouse samples and is validated for use in flow cytometry and immunohistochemistry applications. The biotin conjugation enables enhanced detection and quantification with various biotin-avidin/streptavidin-based assay systems.NK1.1, also known as NKR-P1C, is essential for immune surveillance, tumor eradication, and the modulation of adaptive immune responses. Its pivotal role in immune regulation makes it a valuable target for research into diseases such as cancer, infectious diseases, and autoimmune disorders.
The Mouse NK1.1 Monoclonal Antibody, Biotin Conjugated (PK136), facilitates precise identification and analysis of NK cells, supporting detailed studies of NK cell function and development.Understanding the activity of NK1.1 is fundamental for developing therapies that harness or modulate NK cell function, making this antibody an indispensable tool for researchers in immunology and oncology. By enabling accurate detection of NK cells, it contributes to the advancement of immunotherapeutic strategies for treating cancer and improving immune responses in various pathological conditions.

Background:
NK-1.1 surface antigen, also known as CD161b/CD161c and Ly-55, is encoded by the NKR-P1B/NKR-P1C gene. It is expressed on NK cells and NK-T cells in some mouse strains, including C57BL/6, FVB/N, and NZB, but not AKR, BALB/c, CBA/J, C3H, DBA/1, DBA/2, NOD, SJL, and 129. Expression of NKR-P1C antigen has been correlated with lysis of tumor cells in vitro and rejection of bone marrow allografts in vivo. NK-1.1 has also been shown to play a role in NK cell activation, IFN-γ production, and cytotoxic granule release. NK-1.1 and DX5 are commonly used as mouse NK cell markers.
