The Mouse/Human CD44 Monoclonal Antibody (PE Conjugated) IM7 (AGEL0366) offered by Assay Genie is a high-quality antibody designed for research applications involving the detection of CD44, a cell surface glycoprotein known to be involved in cell adhesion and migration. This monoclonal antibody, conjugated with PE for fluorescent detection, is reactive with both mouse and human samples.CD44 is a multifunctional molecule implicated in various cellular processes, including lymphocyte homing and activation, tumor metastasis, and tissue regeneration. With its wide expression in different cell types, CD44 is a key player in cell-cell interactions and signaling pathways. The IM7 antibody specifically targets CD44, making it a valuable tool for studying the roles of CD44 in different biological contexts.
Researchers can utilize this antibody in flow cytometry and immunofluorescence applications to investigate the expression levels and localization of CD44 in various cell populations. By understanding the functions of CD44, scientists can gain insights into processes such as immune response modulation, cancer progression, and tissue regeneration. For detailed and reliable research outcomes, the Mouse/Human CD44 Monoclonal Antibody (PE Conjugated) IM7 (AGEL0366) from Assay Genie provides a versatile and effective solution for investigating the role of CD44 in biological systems.
Each lot of this antibody is quality control tested by flow cytometric analysis. The amount of the reagent is suggested to be used 5 µL of antibody per test (million cells in 100 µL staining volume or per 100 µL of whole blood). Please check your vial before the experiment. Since applications vary, the appropriate dilutions must be determined for individual use.

Background:
CD44 is a 80-95 kD glycoprotein also known as Hermes, Pgp1, H-CAM, or HUTCH. It is expressed on all leukocytes, endothelial cells, hepatocytes, and mesenchymal cells. As B and T cells become activated or progress to the memory stage, CD44 expression increases from low or mid levels to high levels. Thus, CD44 has been reported to be a valuable marker for memory cell subsets. High CD44 expression on Treg cells has been associated with potent suppressive function via high production of IL-10. CD44 is an adhesion molecule involved in leukocyte attachment to and rolling on endothelial cells, homing to peripheral lymphoid organs and to the sites of inflammation, and leukocyte aggregation.
