The Mouse-Human CD11b Monoclonal Antibody (PE-Cyanine5.5 Conjugated, M1/70) is a versatile tool for researchers studying immune cells and inflammation. This monoclonal antibody, available from Assay Genie, is specifically designed for detecting the CD11b protein, a cell surface marker found on myeloid cells like monocytes, macrophages, and granulocytes.CD11b is a key molecule involved in cell adhesion and migration, playing a crucial role in the immune response and inflammatory processes. The M1/70 antibody is conjugated with PE-Cyanine5.5, enabling easy detection by flow cytometry or fluorescence microscopy. This allows for precise identification and analysis of CD11b-expressing cells in various biological samples.
By targeting CD11b, researchers can investigate the role of myeloid cells in immune function, inflammation, and disease progression. Understanding the behavior and function of these cells, particularly in the context of conditions like infection, autoimmunity, and cancer, can provide valuable insights for developing novel therapeutic strategies.Overall, the Mouse-Human CD11b Monoclonal Antibody (PE-Cyanine5.5 Conjugated, M1/70) from Assay Genie is a valuable resource for immunologists, cell biologists, and researchers interested in unraveling the complexities of the immune system and inflammatory responses.

Background:
CD11b is a 170 kD glycoprotein also known as αM integrin, Mac-1 α subunit, Mol, CR3, and Ly-40. CD11b is a member of the integrin family, primarily expressed on granulocytes, monocytes/macrophages, dendritic cells, NK cells, and subsets of T and B cells. CD11b non-covalently associates with CD18 (β2 integrin) to form Mac-1. Mac-1 plays an important role in cell-cell interaction by binding its ligands ICAM-1 (CD54), ICAM-2 (CD102), ICAM-4 (CD242), iC3b, and fibrinogen.
