The Mouse/Human CD11b Monoclonal Antibody (PE-Cy5 Conjugated, M1/70) from Assay Genie (AGEL0310) is a powerful tool for researchers studying immune cells and inflammation. This antibody is specifically designed to target CD11b, a key cell surface marker involved in immune responses.CD11b, also known as integrin alpha-M, is primarily expressed on the surface of macrophages, monocytes, and neutrophils. It plays a crucial role in cell adhesion, migration, and phagocytosis, making it an important player in the innate immune system. By targeting CD11b, researchers can identify and analyze these immune cells in various tissues and experimental models.
This monoclonal antibody is conjugated with PE-Cy5, a fluorescent dye that allows for easy detection and visualization of CD11b-positive cells. Its specificity for both mouse and human samples makes it versatile for a wide range of research applications, including flow cytometry, immunofluorescence, and cell sorting.Whether investigating inflammatory responses, immune cell activation, or immune cell populations in different tissues, the Mouse/Human CD11b Monoclonal Antibody (PE-Cy5 Conjugated, M1/70) provides reliable results and valuable insights for immunology and disease-related studies.

Background:
CD11b is a 170 kD glycoprotein also known as αM integrin, Mac-1 α subunit, Mol, CR3, and Ly-40. CD11b is a member of the integrin family, primarily expressed on granulocytes, monocytes/macrophages, dendritic cells, NK cells, and subsets of T and B cells. CD11b non-covalently associates with CD18 (β2 integrin) to form Mac-1. Mac-1 plays an important role in cell-cell interaction by binding its ligands ICAM-1 (CD54), ICAM-2 (CD102), ICAM-4 (CD242), iC3b, and fibrinogen.
