The Mouse GFAP (Glial Fibrillary Acidic Protein) CLIA Kit is specifically designed for the detection of GFAP levels in mouse samples including serum, plasma, and cell culture supernatants. This high-quality kit offers exceptional sensitivity and specificity, ensuring accurate and reproducible results for a variety of research applications.GFAP is an important protein found in astrocytes, a type of glial cell in the central nervous system. Elevated levels of GFAP are often associated with various neurological conditions such as brain injury, neurodegenerative diseases, and multiple sclerosis.
By accurately measuring GFAP levels, researchers can gain valuable insights into the pathology of these conditions and develop novel therapeutic strategies.Overall, the Mouse GFAP CLIA Kit from Assay Genie is a versatile and reliable tool for studying the role of GFAP in neurobiology and advancing our understanding of neurological disorders.
This CLIA kit uses the Sandwich-CLIA principle. The micro CLIA plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to Mouse GFAP. Standards or samples are added to the micro CLIA plate wells and combined with the specific antibody. Then a biotinylated detection antibody specific for Mouse GFAP and Avidin-Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) conjugate are added successively to each micro plate well and incubated. Free components are washed away. The substrate solution is added to each well. Only those wells that contain Mouse GFAP, biotinylated detection antibody and Avidin-HRP conjugate will appear fluorescence. The Relative light unit (RLU) value is measured by the Chemiluminescence immunoassay analyzer. The RLU value is positively associated with the concentration of Mouse GFAP. You can calculate the concentration of Mouse GFAP in the samples by comparing the RLU value of the samples to the standard curve.
