CD93, is a receptor or else an element of a larger receptor complex forC1q, MBL2-mannose-binding lectin and SPA-pulmonary surfactant protein A. CD93 mediates the enhancement of phagocytosis in monocytes as well asmacrophages upon interaction with soluble defense collagens. CD93 produced in Sf9 Insect cells is a single, glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 558 amino acids (23-572a.a.) and having a molecular mass of 60.1kDa. (Molecular size on SDS-PAGE will appear at approximately 70-100kDa). CD93 is expressed with an 8 amino acid His tag at C-Terminus and purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.
