The Mouse CD86 Monoclonal Antibody (PE-Cyanine7 Conjugated) is a powerful tool designed for researchers studying immune responses and cell signaling pathways. This antibody, clone GL-1, is specifically developed to target CD86, a key cell surface protein involved in T cell activation and immune regulation. By binding to CD86 with high specificity and sensitivity, this antibody enables precise detection and analysis of CD86 expression in various cell types.CD86, also known as B7-2, plays a critical role in co-stimulatory signals that are essential for T cell activation and proliferation. By engaging with its receptor on T cells, CD86 provides the necessary signals for efficient immune responses and the differentiation of specific T cell subsets.
Understanding the expression and function of CD86 is crucial for unraveling the complex interactions of the immune system in health and disease states. This PE-Cyanine7 Conjugated Monoclonal Antibody offers several advantages for research applications, including flow cytometry analysis and immunofluorescence studies. With its bright fluorescent signal and low background noise, researchers can confidently visualize and quantify CD86 expression levels in experimental samples. Whether investigating immune cell interactions, vaccine development, or inflammatory responses, this antibody provides reliable and reproducible results for cutting-edge research in immunology and beyond.
Each lot of this antibody is quality control tested by flow cytometric analysis. Please check your vial before the experiment. Since applications vary, the appropriate dilutions must be determined for individual use. We suggest each investigator should titrate the reagent to obtain optimal results [The recommended concentration is 0.1-1 μg/106 cells in 100 μL volume].

Background:
CD86 is an 80 kD immunoglobulin superfamily member also known as B7-2, B70, and Ly-58. CD86 is expressed on activated B and T cells, macrophages, dendritic cells, and astrocytes. CD86, along with CD80, is a ligand of CD28 and CD152 (CTLA-4). CD86 is expressed earlier in the immune response than CD80. CD86 has also been shown to be involved in immunoglobulin class-switching and triggering of NK cell-mediated cytotoxicity. CD86 binds to CD28 to transduce co-stimulatory signals for T cell activation, proliferation, and cytokine production. CD86 can also bind to CD152, also known as CTLA-4, to deliver an inhibitory signal to T cells.
