The Monoclonal Antibody PE-Cyanine5.5 Conjugated Mel-14 (AGEL0631) offered by Assay Genie is a vital tool for researchers studying the mouse CD62L molecule. CD62L, also known as L-selectin, is a cell surface adhesion molecule that plays a crucial role in the immune response by facilitating lymphocyte rolling and homing to secondary lymphoid organs. This monoclonal antibody is specifically designed to target mouse CD62L and is conjugated with PE-Cyanine5.5, enabling easy detection and analysis in flow cytometry and other immunological assays. By binding to CD62L, researchers can investigate its expression levels and localization in different cell populations, providing valuable insights into immune cell trafficking and activation.
This product is ideal for studies focusing on immune cell migration, lymphocyte activation, and inflammatory responses. Understanding the function of CD62L in the immune system can lead to advancements in the treatment of various immune-related diseases, such as autoimmune disorders and inflammatory conditions. With its high specificity and reactivity, the Monoclonal Antibody PE-Cyanine5.5 Conjugated Mel-14 (AGEL0631) is a valuable tool for immunologists and researchers exploring the intricacies of mouse CD62L biology.

Background:
CD62L is a 74-95 kD glycoprotein also known as L-selectin, LECAM-1, Ly-22, LAM-1, and MEL-14. It is a member of the selectin family and is expressed on the majority of B and naïve T cells, a subset of memory T cells, monocytes, granulocytes, most thymocytes, and a subset of NK cells. CD62L is important in lymphocyte homing to high endothelial venules (HEV) in peripheral lymph nodes and leukocyte 'rolling' on activated endothelium. CD62L also contributes to neutrophil emigration at inflammatory sites. CD62L is rapidly shed from lymphocytes and neutrophils upon cellular activation and the expression levels of CD62L (in conjunction with other markers) have been used to distinguish naïve, effector, and memory T cells. CD62L has been reported to interact with CD34, GlyCAM-1, and MAdCAM-1.
