The Mouse CD62L Monoclonal Antibody (PE Conjugated, MEL14) from Assaygenie (AGEL0090) is a powerful tool designed for research involving the CD62L protein in mice. CD62L, also known as L-selectin, is a cell surface molecule involved in lymphocyte homing and adhesion processes, playing a crucial role in immune responses. This monoclonal antibody, conjugated with phycoerythrin (PE), offers high specificity and sensitivity in detecting CD62L in mouse samples. It is ideal for flow cytometry applications, enabling precise identification and analysis of CD62L-expressing cells in various experimental settings. The CD62L Monoclonal Antibody provides researchers with a reliable method to investigate lymphocyte trafficking, immune cell activation, and homing mechanisms in mice.
Its use in immunology, inflammation, and vaccine development research makes it a valuable tool for understanding immune responses and designing novel therapeutic strategies.By targeting CD62L, researchers can gain insights into immune cell behavior, inflammatory processes, and immune system regulation in murine models. This antibody is a valuable asset for studies focusing on lymphocyte migration, inflammation resolution, and immunotherapy development in the context of infectious diseases, autoimmune disorders, and beyond.

Background:
CD62L is a 74-95 kD glycoprotein also known as L-selectin, LECAM-1, Ly-22, LAM-1, and MEL-14. It is a member of the selectin family and is expressed on the majority of B and naïve T cells, a subset of memory T cells, monocytes, granulocytes, most thymocytes, and a subset of NK cells. CD62L is important in lymphocyte homing to high endothelial venules (HEV) in peripheral lymph nodes and leukocyte 'rolling' on activated endothelium. CD62L also contributes to neutrophil emigration at inflammatory sites. CD62L is rapidly shed from lymphocytes and neutrophils upon cellular activation and the expression levels of CD62L (in conjunction with other markers) have been used to distinguish naïve, effector, and memory T cells. CD62L has been reported to interact with CD34, GlyCAM-1, and MAdCAM-1.
