The Mouse CD62L Monoclonal Antibody (FITC Conjugated) - ME14 (AGEL0089) is a powerful tool for research involving CD62L, a key cell surface molecule associated with lymphocyte homing and migration. This monoclonal antibody, labeled with FITC for enhanced detection capabilities, is specifically designed for use in flow cytometry and immunofluorescence applications.CD62L, also known as L-selectin, plays a crucial role in the adhesion of lymphocytes to high endothelial venules in lymphoid tissues, facilitating their entry into secondary lymphoid organs. By targeting CD62L, researchers can investigate the mechanisms governing immune cell trafficking and localization, aiding in the study of immune responses, inflammation, and autoimmune diseases.
The FITC-conjugated ME14 antibody offers high specificity and sensitivity in detecting CD62L expression on cell surfaces, making it an invaluable tool for immunologists and cell biologists. Its application extends to understanding the dynamics of lymphocyte migration, leukocyte recruitment, and immune cell signaling pathways, providing insights into various physiological and pathological processes. Unlock the potential of CD62L research with the precise and reliable Mouse CD62L Monoclonal Antibody (FITC Conjugated) - ME14 (AGEL0089) from AssayGenie.

Background:
CD62L is a 74-95 kD glycoprotein also known as L-selectin, LECAM-1, Ly-22, LAM-1, and MEL-14. It is a member of the selectin family and is expressed on the majority of B and naïve T cells, a subset of memory T cells, monocytes, granulocytes, most thymocytes, and a subset of NK cells. CD62L is important in lymphocyte homing to high endothelial venules (HEV) in peripheral lymph nodes and leukocyte 'rolling' on activated endothelium. CD62L also contributes to neutrophil emigration at inflammatory sites. CD62L is rapidly shed from lymphocytes and neutrophils upon cellular activation and the expression levels of CD62L (in conjunction with other markers) have been used to distinguish naïve, effector, and memory T cells. CD62L has been reported to interact with CD34, GlyCAM-1, and MAdCAM-1.
