The Mouse CD5 Monoclonal Antibody (PE Conjugated, 53-7.3) is a valuable tool for researchers studying CD5, a transmembrane glycoprotein expressed on T cells and B-1a cells that is involved in T cell activation and signaling pathways. This antibody, conjugated with PE for easy detection, is specifically designed for flow cytometry applications and is suitable for use in identifying and analyzing CD5 expression in mouse samples.CD5, a member of the scavenger receptor cysteine-rich superfamily, serves as a co-receptor in antigen recognition and immune cell activation. Its role in modulating immune responses and maintaining tolerance makes it a key target for investigating immune-mediated diseases, such as autoimmune disorders and leukemia.
By utilizing the Mouse CD5 Monoclonal Antibody, researchers can gain insights into the function of CD5 in immune regulation and potential therapeutic interventions.Overall, the Mouse CD5 Monoclonal Antibody (PE Conjugated, 53-7.3) offers a reliable and specific tool for flow cytometry studies focusing on understanding the role of CD5 in immune cell function, T cell responses, and immunological disorders in mouse models.

Background:
CD5 is a 67 kD protein, also known as Lyt-1, Ly-1, T1, Tp67, or Ly-12. It is a member of the scavenger receptor cysteine-rich protein superfamily (SRCR) and primarily expressed on thymocytes, T cells, and B-1 cells. Although mature α/β T cells express high levels of CD5, very few γ/δ T cells express this antigen. The interaction of CD5 with CD72, gp35-37, TCR, or BCR is involved in T and B cell activation.
