The Mouse CD5 Monoclonal Antibody (AF647 Conjugated) (Clone 53-7.3) is a valuable tool for research involving the CD5 protein, a cell surface marker found on T cells and B-1a cells. This antibody, conjugated with AF647 for efficient detection in flow cytometry and immunofluorescence assays, is ideal for studying immune cell populations and their interactions.CD5 plays a crucial role in modulating immune responses, including T cell activation and tolerance induction. By targeting CD5, researchers can gain insights into immune cell function and potential therapeutic interventions for autoimmune diseases, lymphomas, and other immune-related disorders.
This monoclonal antibody, validated for specificity and sensitivity, offers reliable results in experimental settings, making it a valuable asset for immunologists, oncologists, and researchers studying immune system functionality. Explore the intricate mechanisms of immune regulation with the Mouse CD5 Monoclonal Antibody (AF647 Conjugated) (Clone 53-7.3) and advance your research into immunology and cancer biology.

Background:
CD5 is a 67 kD protein, also known as Lyt-1, Ly-1, T1, Tp67, or Ly-12. It is a member of the scavenger receptor cysteine-rich protein superfamily (SRCR) and primarily expressed on thymocytes, T cells, and B-1 cells. Although mature α/β T cells express high levels of CD5, very few γ/δ T cells express this antigen. The interaction of CD5 with CD72, gp35-37, TCR, or BCR is involved in T and B cell activation.
