The Mouse CD366 (TIM-3) Monoclonal Antibody (PE Conjugated) (RMT3-23) is a cutting-edge tool for researchers focusing on the immune checkpoint molecule TIM-3. This monoclonal antibody specifically targets the TIM-3 protein, a crucial regulator of immune responses and tolerance. With its PE conjugation, this antibody allows for precise and sensitive detection of TIM-3 in various research applications.TIM-3, a member of the T-cell immunoglobulin and mucin domain (TIM) family, is known for its role in regulating T cell exhaustion and immune tolerance. Studies have highlighted its involvement in immune evasion by tumor cells and its potential as a target for cancer immunotherapy.
By utilizing the RMT3-23 antibody, researchers can delve deeper into the mechanisms underlying TIM-3-mediated immune regulation and explore novel therapeutic strategies in immuno-oncology and autoimmune diseases. This advanced antibody offers researchers a reliable tool for investigating TIM-3 function in diverse biological contexts, including immunology, oncology, and autoimmunity. By enhancing our understanding of TIM-3 biology, this antibody contributes to the development of innovative treatments aimed at modulating immune responses and improving clinical outcomes in diseases where TIM-3 plays a pivotal role.

Background:
CD366 (Tim-3) is a transmembrane protein also known as T cell immunoglobulin and mucin domain containing protein-3. Tim-3 is expressed at high levels on activated T cells (preferentially on Th1 cells, monocytes/macrophages, and dendritic cells). Tim-3 has also been shown to exist as a soluble protein. Cells expressing Tim-3 are present at high levels in the CNS of animals at the onset of experimental autoimmune encephalomyelitis (EAE), a disease mediated by lymphocytes secreting Th1-like cytokines. Tim-3 has been proposed to inhibit Th1-mediated immune responses and promote immunological tolerance.
