The Mouse CD366 (TIM-3) Monoclonal Antibody (APC Conjugated, RMT3-23) is a specialized tool designed for researchers studying TIM-3, a critical immune checkpoint receptor involved in regulating immune responses. This monoclonal antibody, conjugated with APC for enhanced detection sensitivity, is specifically tailored for use in flow cytometry applications.TIM-3, also known as T-cell immunoglobulin and mucin-domain containing-3, is a key regulator of T cell function and immune tolerance. Its interaction with galectin-9 plays a crucial role in controlling immune responses, including T cell exhaustion and cytokine production. The Mouse CD366 Monoclonal Antibody binds specifically to TIM-3 protein, enabling precise detection and characterization in various immune cell populations.
Understanding the role of TIM-3 in immune regulation is essential for unraveling its implications in diseases such as cancer, chronic infections, and autoimmune disorders. By targeting TIM-3, researchers aim to develop innovative immunotherapeutic strategies that modulate immune responses for improved treatment outcomes. The Mouse CD366 (TIM-3) Monoclonal Antibody (APC Conjugated, RMT3-23) serves as a valuable resource for studies focusing on immune checkpoint blockade mechanisms and their therapeutic potential.

Background:
CD366 (Tim-3) is a transmembrane protein also known as T cell immunoglobulin and mucin domain containing protein-3. Tim-3 is expressed at high levels on activated T cells (preferentially on Th1 cells, monocytes/macrophages, and dendritic cells). Tim-3 has also been shown to exist as a soluble protein. Cells expressing Tim-3 are present at high levels in the CNS of animals at the onset of experimental autoimmune encephalomyelitis (EAE), a disease mediated by lymphocytes secreting Th1-like cytokines. Tim-3 has been proposed to inhibit Th1-mediated immune responses and promote immunological tolerance.
