The Mouse CD28 Monoclonal Antibody PE Conjugated (37-51) is a specialized antibody designed for research purposes involving CD28, a crucial cell surface receptor involved in T-cell activation and immune response modulation. This monoclonal antibody, conjugated with PE (phycoerythrin), is specifically targeted towards mouse samples and is optimized for flow cytometry applications. By binding to the CD28 protein, this antibody allows for precise detection and analysis of CD28 expression in various cell types, making it an essential tool for immunology and immunotherapy research.CD28 is a co-stimulatory molecule that plays a pivotal role in T-cell activation and the regulation of immune responses. It is a key player in the activation and proliferation of T-cells, making it a valuable target for studies related to autoimmune diseases, cancer immunotherapy, infectious diseases, and transplant rejection.
Understanding the mechanisms by which CD28 functions in T-cell activation is essential for developing targeted therapeutics and immunomodulatory strategies for a range of medical conditions. The Mouse CD28 Monoclonal Antibody PE Conjugated (37-51) offers high specificity and sensitivity in detecting CD28 expression, allowing researchers to gain insights into the role of CD28 in various immunological contexts. With its superior performance in flow cytometry, this antibody is a valuable asset for scientists looking to explore the complexities of immune system regulation and T-cell activation pathways.
Each lot of this antibody is quality control tested by flow cytometric analysis. Please check your vial before the experiment. Since applications vary, the appropriate dilutions must be determined for individual use. We suggest each investigator should titrate the reagent to obtain optimal results [The recommended concentration is 0.1-1 μg/106 cells in 100 μL volume].

Background:
CD28 is a 44 kD glycoprotein, also known as Tp44 or T44. It is a member of the Ig superfamily, expressed on thymocytes, most peripheral T cells, and NK cells. In association with CD80 (B7-1) and CD86 (B7-2), CD28 acts as the second signal for T and NK cell activation and proliferation. The 37.51 antibody has been reported to augment in vitro T cell proliferation and cytokine production, and promote CTL development.
