The Mouse CD24 Monoclonal Antibody (APC Conjugated, M1/69) - AGEL1902 is a specialized tool crafted for research applications involving CD24, a glycosylphosphatidylinositol-linked cell surface protein known for its diverse roles in immunology and cancer biology. This monoclonal antibody, conjugated with APC for enhanced detection, offers high specificity and sensitivity in detecting CD24 in mouse samples. Validated for flow cytometry and other immunological assays, this antibody specifically targets the CD24 protein, allowing for precise identification and analysis across various cell types. CD24, a molecule associated with cell adhesion, differentiation, and immune response modulation, is implicated in processes like inflammation, tumor progression, and stem cell regulation.
Its involvement in cancer development and metastasis, as well as its potential as a prognostic marker in various malignancies, underscores the importance of studying CD24 in research settings. By elucidating the mechanisms by which CD24 influences cellular behavior and disease pathogenesis, researchers can gain insights that may lead to novel therapeutic strategies for cancer and other conditions where CD24 is implicated.
Each lot of this antibody is quality control tested by flow cytometric analysis. Please check your vial before the experiment. Since applications vary, the appropriate dilutions must be determined for individual use. We suggest each investigator should titrate the reagent to obtain optimal results [The recommended concentration is 0.1-1 μg/106 cells in 100 μL volume].

Background:
CD24 is a 35-45 kD protein also known as Heat Stable Antigen (HSA), Ly-52, or Nectadrin. It is a GPI-linked sialoglycoprotein expressed on lymphocytes, granulocytes, epithelial cells, thymocytes, monocytes, erythrocytes, and dendritic cells. CD24 expression varies during T and B cell differentiation and is a useful marker for delineating various lymphocyte developmental stages. CD24 serves as an adhesion or costimulatory molecule involved in T and B lymphocyte activation and differentiation by homophilic binding or binding to CD62P.
