The Mouse CD1d Monoclonal Antibody (PE-Cyanine5 Conjugated, 19G11) from Assay Genie (AGEL0811) is a highly specific and reliable tool for research involving the CD1d protein, an essential component of the immune system. This monoclonal antibody, derived from mouse cells, is conjugated with PE-Cyanine5 for fluorescence detection, enabling precise visualization and analysis in flow cytometry and imaging applications.CD1d is a major histocompatibility complex (MHC) class I-like molecule that presents lipid antigens to specialized T cells known as natural killer T (NKT) cells. The CD1d-antigen-NKT cell interaction plays a crucial role in immune responses, inflammation, and immune tolerance. The 19G11 monoclonal antibody specifically targets the CD1d protein, allowing researchers to study its expression, localization, and function in various immune cell populations.
This antibody is rigorously validated for specificity and sensitivity, ensuring accurate and reproducible results in experimental settings. It is suitable for use in diverse research areas, including immunology, infectious diseases, autoimmunity, and cancer immunotherapy. By utilizing the Mouse CD1d Monoclonal Antibody (PE-Cyanine5 Conjugated, 19G11) from Assay Genie, researchers can uncover new insights into the role of CD1d in immune regulation and develop innovative strategies for targeted therapeutic interventions.
Each lot of this antibody is quality control tested by flow cytometric analysis. The amount of the reagent is suggested to be used 5 µL of antibody per test (million cells in 100 µL staining volume or per 100 µL of whole blood). Please check your vial before the experiment. Since applications vary, the appropriate dilutions must be determined for individual use.

Background:
CD1d is a type I transmembrane protein and member of the MHC family, with a molecular weight ranging from 43-49 kD, depending on the glycosylation degree. CD1d is expressed by antigen presenting cells such as dendritic cells, monocytes, macrophages and B cells; also expressed by thymocytes and intestinal epithelial cells. CD1d present glycolipids to iNKT cells that recognize them by their Vα14i TCR.
