The Mouse CD161/NK1.1 Monoclonal Antibody (PERCP-Cyanine5.5 Conjugated, PK136) is a specialized tool for researchers investigating natural killer cells and immune responses in mice. This monoclonal antibody targets the CD161/NK1.1 protein, which is a marker associated with specific subsets of immune cells, such as natural killer cells and T cells.CD161/NK1.1 is a crucial receptor involved in the regulation and activation of natural killer cells, playing a key role in immune surveillance and defense against pathogens. By specifically binding to this protein, the PK136 conjugated antibody enables precise detection and analysis of CD161/NK1.1-expressing cells in various tissues and experimental models.Researchers in immunology, infectious diseases, and cancer biology can leverage the capabilities of this antibody to study the function and behavior of natural killer cells in mouse models.
Understanding the role of CD161/NK1.1-positive cells in immune responses is vital for unraveling mechanisms of host defense, immune-mediated diseases, and potential therapeutic interventions targeting these cell populations. The Mouse CD161/NK1.1 Monoclonal Antibody (PERCP-Cyanine5.5 Conjugated, PK136) offers a reliable tool for researchers seeking to delve deeper into the intricate dynamics of natural killer cell biology and immune regulation in murine systems. Its consistent performance and specificity make it a valuable asset for advancing knowledge and discoveries in the field of immunology.
Each lot of this antibody is quality control tested by flow cytometric analysis. Please check your vial before the experiment. Since applications vary, the appropriate dilutions must be determined for individual use. We suggest each investigator should titrate the reagent to obtain optimal results [The recommended concentration is 0.1-1 μg/106 cells in 100 μL volume].

Background:
NK-1.1 surface antigen, also known as CD161b/CD161c and Ly-55, is encoded by the NKR-P1B/NKR-P1C gene. It is expressed on NK cells and NK-T cells in some mouse strains, including C57BL/6, FVB/N, and NZB, but not AKR, BALB/c, CBA/J, C3H, DBA/1, DBA/2, NOD, SJL, and 129. Expression of NKR-P1C antigen has been correlated with lysis of tumor cells in vitro and rejection of bone marrow allografts in vivo. NK-1.1 has also been shown to play a role in NK cell activation, IFN-γ production, and cytotoxic granule release. NK-1.1 and DX5 are commonly used as mouse NK cell markers.
