The Mouse CD161 (NK1.1) Monoclonal Antibody PE-Cyanine5.5 Conjugated (PK136) is a powerful tool for researchers studying NK cells and immune responses in mice. This monoclonal antibody is conjugated with PE-Cyanine5.5 for easy detection and analysis of CD161 (NK1.1) surface marker expression.NK cells, also known as natural killer cells, play a crucial role in the immune system's defense against viruses and tumors. CD161 (NK1.1) is a marker expressed on a subset of NK cells and other immune cell populations, making it a valuable target for immunology research. The PK136 monoclonal antibody specifically recognizes and binds to CD161 (NK1.
1), allowing for precise identification and characterization of these cells in experimental settings. With its high specificity and sensitivity, the Mouse CD161 (NK1.1) Monoclonal Antibody PE-Cyanine5.5 Conjugated (PK136) is ideal for flow cytometry and other immunological techniques. Researchers can use this antibody to investigate the function and behavior of NK cells in various immune responses, including viral infections, cancer immunosurveillance, and autoimmune diseases.Unlock the potential of your research with the PK136 antibody and delve into the intricate world of NK cells and their role in immunity.
Each lot of this antibody is quality control tested by flow cytometric analysis. Please check your vial before the experiment. Since applications vary, the appropriate dilutions must be determined for individual use. We suggest each investigator should titrate the reagent to obtain optimal results [The recommended concentration is 0.1-1 μg/106 cells in 100 μL volume].

Background:
NK-1.1 surface antigen, also known as CD161b/CD161c and Ly-55, is encoded by the NKR-P1B/NKR-P1C gene. It is expressed on NK cells and NK-T cells in some mouse strains, including C57BL/6, FVB/N, and NZB, but not AKR, BALB/c, CBA/J, C3H, DBA/1, DBA/2, NOD, SJL, and 129. Expression of NKR-P1C antigen has been correlated with lysis of tumor cells in vitro and rejection of bone marrow allografts in vivo. NK-1.1 has also been shown to play a role in NK cell activation, IFN-γ production, and cytotoxic granule release. NK-1.1 and DX5 are commonly used as mouse NK cell markers.
