The Mouse CD161/NK1.1 Monoclonal Antibody (APC-conjugated, PK136) is a valuable tool for researchers studying natural killer (NK) cells and their associated cell surface markers. This antibody, specifically targeting the CD161/NK1.1 protein, is a monoclonal antibody derived from hybridoma technology, ensuring high specificity and sensitivity in experimental applications.CD161, also known as NK1.1, is a marker commonly used to identify NK cells in mice. These cells play a critical role in the immune response, particularly in recognizing and eliminating virally infected cells and tumor cells. By targeting CD161/NK1.
1, researchers can accurately identify and analyze NK cell populations in various tissues and experimental models. The APC conjugation of the PK136 antibody allows for easy detection using flow cytometry, providing researchers with a powerful tool to investigate NK cell biology in various immune-related studies. Whether studying immune responses, infectious diseases, or cancer immunology, the Mouse CD161/NK1.1 Monoclonal Antibody (APC-conjugated, PK136) offers precise and reliable detection of NK cells, supporting detailed analysis and characterization in diverse research settings.

Background:
NK-1.1 surface antigen, also known as CD161b/CD161c and Ly-55, is encoded by the NKR-P1B/NKR-P1C gene. It is expressed on NK cells and NK-T cells in some mouse strains, including C57BL/6, FVB/N, and NZB, but not AKR, BALB/c, CBA/J, C3H, DBA/1, DBA/2, NOD, SJL, and 129. Expression of NKR-P1C antigen has been correlated with lysis of tumor cells in vitro and rejection of bone marrow allografts in vivo. NK-1.1 has also been shown to play a role in NK cell activation, IFN-γ production, and cytotoxic granule release. NK-1.1 and DX5 are commonly used as mouse NK cell markers.
