The Mouse CD14 Monoclonal Antibody (PE/Cyanine5.5 Conjugated), clone SA14-2 (AGEL1877), offered by Assay Genie, is a powerful tool for researchers studying immune responses and inflammation in mouse models. This monoclonal antibody is specifically designed to target CD14, a cell surface receptor found on monocytes, macrophages, and dendritic cells. CD14 plays a crucial role in the recognition of bacterial lipopolysaccharides (LPS) and initiation of inflammatory responses. By binding to CD14, this antibody enables the detection and analysis of CD14-expressing cells, allowing for a better understanding of immune activation and regulation. With its PE/Cyanine5.
5 conjugation, this antibody is suited for flow cytometry applications, providing researchers with a reliable method to analyze immune cell populations in complex samples. Its specificity for mouse CD14 makes it a valuable tool for studies focusing on innate immune responses, infectious diseases, and inflammation in preclinical models.By utilizing the Mouse CD14 Monoclonal Antibody (PE/Cyanine5.5 Conjugated), researchers can gain insights into the dynamics of immune cell activation and inflammation, paving the way for the development of novel therapies targeting immune-related disorders and inflammatory conditions in mouse models.

Background:
CD14 is a 53-55 kD glycosylphosphatidylinositol (GPI)-linked membrane glycoprotein also known as LPS receptor. CD14 is expressed on macrophages, dendritic cells, Kupffer cells, hepatocytes, and granulocytes. As a high-affinity receptor for LPS-LBP (LPS-binding protein) complex, CD14, in association with Toll-like Receptor 4 (TLR4) or 2 (TLR2), is involved in the clearance of gram-negative pathogens.
