The Mouse CD122 Monoclonal Antibody (PE/Cyanine5.5 Conjugated) 5H4 (AGEL0804) is a powerful tool designed for research applications involving CD122, a key receptor involved in immune cell signaling and activation. This monoclonal antibody, derived from mouse hybridoma cells, exhibits high specificity and sensitivity towards CD122 protein in mouse samples, making it an essential reagent for flow cytometry and immunofluorescence assays.CD122, also known as the Interleukin-2 receptor beta subunit, plays a crucial role in the function and survival of various immune cell populations, including T cells and natural killer cells. By targeting CD122, researchers can gain insights into immune cell behavior, interaction, and response to stimuli, paving the way for advancements in immunology, infectious diseases, and immunotherapy research.
The PE/Cyanine5.5 conjugation of this antibody allows for multiplexing with other fluorophores, facilitating complex analyses and precise identification of CD122-expressing cell subsets within heterogeneous populations. Its compatibility with various experimental techniques and robust performance make it an invaluable tool for investigating immune responses, immune cell development, and therapeutic strategies targeting the IL-2 signaling pathway. For scientists studying immune regulation, T cell biology, or cytokine signaling pathways, the Mouse CD122 Monoclonal Antibody (PE/Cyanine5.5 Conjugated) 5H4 (AGEL0804) is a reliable companion that promises accurate and reproducible results to drive breakthrough discoveries in the field of immunology.
Each lot of this antibody is quality control tested by flow cytometric analysis. Please check your vial before the experiment. Since applications vary, the appropriate dilutions must be determined for individual use. We suggest each investigator should titrate the reagent to obtain optimal results [The recommended concentration is 0.1-1 μg/106 cells in 100 μL volume].

Background:
CD122 is a 70-75 kD IL-2 receptor β chain also known as IL-2Rβ, which is also shared by the IL-15 receptor. It is constitutively expressed by NK cells and at lower levels by T cells, B cells, monocytes, and macrophages. The IL-2Rβ chain can combine with either the common γ subunit (γc, CD132) alone or with the γc subunit and the IL-2Rα subunit (CD25) to generate intermediate or high affinity IL-2 receptor complexes, respectively. CD122 expression levels can be upregulated by activation. The 5H4 antibody does not block IL-2 binding to the IL-2 receptor. CD122 is expressed on murine, but not human, CD8+ Tregs involved in the maintenance of T cell homeostasis.
