The Mouse CD11c Monoclonal Antibody (AF488 conjugated, N418) is a vital tool for researchers investigating immune cells expressing CD11c, a key marker for dendritic cells. This monoclonal antibody, conjugated with AF488 for fluorescence applications, offers high specificity and sensitivity in detecting CD11c in mouse samples. Validated for use in flow cytometry and immunofluorescence, this antibody enables precise identification and analysis of CD11c-expressing cells in various tissues and experimental conditions.Dendritic cells, marked by the CD11c antigen, play a crucial role in initiating immune responses and regulating immune tolerance.
Understanding the function and distribution of CD11c-expressing dendritic cells is essential for studying immune system dynamics, inflammatory responses, and antigen presentation processes. This monoclonal antibody provides researchers with a reliable tool to delve into the complexities of dendritic cell biology and explore their implications in immunology, vaccine development, and autoimmune diseases.

Background:
CD11c is a 150 kD glycoprotein also known as αX integrin, CR4, and p150. CD11c forms a αXβ2 heterodimer with β2 integrin (CD18). It is primarily expressed on dendritic cells, NK cells, a subset of intestinal intraepithelial lymphocytes (IEL), and some activated T cells. The αXβ2 integrin plays an important role in cell-cell contact by binding its ligands: iC3b, fibrinogen and CD54.
