The Mouse CD11a Monoclonal Antibody (AF488 Conjugated) (FD441.8) is a powerful tool for researchers investigating CD11a, an integral membrane protein belonging to the integrin family involved in cell adhesion and migration processes. This antibody, derived from mouse monoclonal sources and conjugated with AF488 for easy fluorescent detection, exhibits high specificity and sensitivity in binding to CD11a proteins in mouse samples.CD11a is a crucial component of lymphocyte function-associated antigen 1 (LFA-1), a cell surface receptor essential for T cell activation, adhesion to antigen-presenting cells, and migration across endothelial barriers. By targeting CD11a, researchers can study immune cell interactions, inflammatory responses, and immune cell trafficking in various experimental models.
With its fluorescent conjugation, this antibody is particularly suitable for flow cytometry, immunofluorescence microscopy, and other fluorescent detection methods, enabling precise visualization and analysis of CD11a expression and localization in different cell types and tissues. It is a valuable tool in immunology, inflammation, and autoimmune disease research, providing insights into the mechanisms underlying immune cell function and potential therapeutic targets for immune-related disorders. For researchers investigating immune responses, cell adhesion, and migration processes mediated by integrins, the Mouse CD11a Monoclonal Antibody (AF488 Conjugated) (FD441.8) offers a reliable and efficient solution for detecting and studying CD11a protein expression and activity.

Background:
CD11a is a 180 kD glycoprotein, also known as αL integrin, LFA-1 α, Ly-15, or Ly-21. It is a member of the integrin family, primarily expressed on lymphocytes, monocytes/macrophages, and granulocytes. In association with CD18, the CD11a/CD18 complex forms LFA-1. CD11a plays an important role in intercellular adhesion and costimulation by binding its ligands, ICAM-1 (CD54), ICAM-2 (CD102), and ICAM-3 (CD50).
