The Mouse CD117 Monoclonal Antibody PE-conjugated (2B8) is a powerful tool for researchers studying CD117, also known as c-kit, a critical cell surface receptor involved in various biological processes. This monoclonal antibody, conjugated with PE for fluorescence-based detection, is specifically designed for flow cytometry applications, enabling accurate and sensitive analysis of CD117 expression in different cell populations.CD117, a receptor tyrosine kinase, is well-known for its essential role in hematopoiesis, stem cell maintenance, and cell proliferation. It is widely expressed on hematopoietic stem cells, mast cells, and other progenitor cells, making it a valuable marker for identifying and analyzing these cell populations.
The CD117 Monoclonal Antibody PE-conjugated (2B8) facilitates precise detection and quantification of CD117-expressing cells, allowing researchers to investigate their function and role in various physiological and pathological processes.By targeting CD117 with this specific monoclonal antibody, researchers can gain insights into the mechanisms underlying cell signaling, differentiation, and development in diverse biological contexts. Whether studying hematopoiesis, cancer biology, or developmental biology, this antibody provides a reliable tool for elucidating the functions of CD117 and its potential implications in health and disease.
Each lot of this antibody is quality control tested by flow cytometric analysis. Please check your vial before the experiment. Since applications vary, the appropriate dilutions must be determined for individual use. We suggest each investigator should titrate the reagent to obtain optimal results [The recommended concentration is 0.1-1 μg/106 cells in 100 μL volume].

Background:
CD117 is a 145 kD immunoglobulin superfamily member also known as c-Kit and stem cell factor receptor (SCFR). It is a transmembrane tyrosine-kinase receptor that binds the c-Kit ligand (also known as steel factor, stem cell factor, and mast cell growth factor). CD117 is expressed on hematopoietic stem cells (including multipotent hematopoietic stem cells, progenitors committed to myeloid and/or erythroid lineages, and T and B cell precursors), mast cells, and acute myeloid leukemia (AML) cells. CD117 interaction with its ligand is critical for the development of hematopoietic stem cells.
