The Mouse CD106 Monoclonal Antibody PE-Cyanine5.5 Conjugated (M.K.2.7) is a specialized antibody designed for research applications involving CD106, also known as VCAM-1. This antibody, conjugated with PE-Cyanine5.5 for fluorescent detection, is derived from the M.K.2.7 hybridoma cell line. CD106/V-CAM-1 is a cell adhesion molecule expressed on the surface of endothelial cells and plays a crucial role in the regulation of immune responses, particularly in the recruitment of leukocytes to sites of inflammation. The specific reactivity of this antibody with mouse samples makes it an invaluable tool for studying the expression and function of CD106 in various experimental settings.Researchers can utilize this monoclonal antibody in flow cytometry, immunofluorescence, or other cellular assays to investigate the role of CD106 in immune cell adhesion, inflammation, and vascular biology.
By facilitating the detection and analysis of CD106 in mouse models, this antibody enables deeper insights into processes such as leukocyte recruitment, immune cell trafficking, and vascular inflammation. Overall, the Mouse CD106 Monoclonal Antibody PE-Cyanine5.5 Conjugated (M.K.2.7) is a reliable reagent that enhances the capabilities of researchers working in the fields of immunology, inflammation, and vascular biology by providing an essential tool for investigating the functions of CD106 in mouse samples.

Background:
CD106 is a 110 kD glycosylphosphatidylinositol (GPI)-linked transmembrane protein, also known as VCAM-1 and INCAM-110. It is constitutively expressed on bone marrow stromal cells, myeloid progenitors, splenic dendritic cells, activated endothelial cells, as well as some lymphocytes. CD106 expression can be upregulated on endothelial cells by inflammatory cytokines. CD106 is involved in adhesion and acts as a counter-receptor for VLA-4 (α4/β1 integrin) and LPAM-1 (α4/β7 integrin).
