The Human PSAP (Prosaposin) ELISA Kit is specifically designed for the precise measurement of prosaposin levels in human samples including serum, plasma, and cell culture supernatants. This kit offers exceptional sensitivity and specificity, guaranteeing accurate and consistent results for various research purposes.Prosaposin, also known as Saposin C, is a key protein involved in numerous cellular processes such as lipid transport, lysosomal degradation, and neuronal development. Dysregulation of prosaposin has been linked to various diseases including lysosomal storage disorders, neurodegenerative conditions, and certain types of cancer.
Therefore, measuring prosaposin levels can provide valuable insights for studying these diseases and potentially developing targeted therapies.Overall, the Human PSAP ELISA Kit by Assay Genie is an essential tool for researchers looking to investigate the role of prosaposin in health and disease, offering reliable and accurate results to support their studies.

This ELISA kit uses the Sandwich-ELISA principle. The micro ELISA plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to Human PSAP. Standards or samples are added to the micro ELISA plate wells and combined with the specific antibody. Then a biotinylated detection antibody specific for Human PSAP and Avidin-Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) conjugate are added successively to each micro plate well and incubated. Free components are washed away. The substrate solution is added to each well. Only those wells that contain Human PSAP, biotinylated detection antibody and Avidin-HRP conjugate will appear blue in color. The enzyme-substrate reaction is terminated by the addition of stop solution and the color turns yellow. The optical density (OD) is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450 nm ± 2 nm. The OD value is proportional to the concentration of Human PSAP. You can calculate the concentration of Human PSAP in the samples by comparing the OD of the samples to the standard curve.
