MS4A1 is an activated-glycosylated phosphoprotein expressed on the surface of all B-cells. The expression begins at the pro-B phase and until maturity the concentration increases in order to allow optimal B-cell immune response, specifically against T-independent antigens. MS4A1 takes part in the microenvironmental interactions of B cells and also in the regulation of B-cell activation and proliferation. MS4A1 also plays a role as a calcium channel in the cell membrane.
MS4A1 Human Recombinant produced in Sf9 Baculovirus cells is a single, glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 97 amino acids (210-297a.a.) and having a molecular mass of 11.1kDa (Molecular size on SDS-PAGE will appear at approximately 18-28kDa).MS4A1 is fused with a 9 amino acids His tag at C-Terminus and purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.
