This monoclonal antibody, conjugated with AF488 for fluorescent detection, is specifically designed for use in flow cytometry and immunofluorescence applications, enabling precise and efficient analysis of CD47 expression and distribution in various biological samples.CD47, a widely studied cell surface protein, plays a pivotal role in immune regulation and cell signaling pathways. It is known for its diverse functions, including the modulation of phagocytosis and regulation of immune response activation.
The AF488-conjugated CD47 Monoclonal Antibody (MIAP410) offers researchers a reliable tool for investigating the role of CD47 in various physiological and pathological processes, such as cancer progression, immune evasion, and tissue homeostasis. With its high specificity and versatility in detecting CD47 in different species, this monoclonal antibody is a valuable asset for studies in immunology, oncology, and molecular biology. By providing insights into the complex functions of CD47, researchers can uncover novel therapeutic targets and develop innovative strategies for combating diseases associated with dysregulated immune responses.
Each lot of this antibody is quality control tested by flow cytometric analysis. The amount of the reagent is suggested to be used 5 µL of antibody per test (million cells in 100 µL staining volume or per 100 µL of whole blood). Please check your vial before the experiment. Since applications vary, the appropriate dilutions must be determined for individual use.

Background:
CD47, also known as Integrin-Associated Protein (IAP), is a membrane protein of about 50 kD with an IgV-like extracelluluar domain, a five membrane-spanning segment and a short terminal cytoplasmic region. It is widely expressed on many cell types and often associated with beta 3 integrins. It has been reported that CD47 functions as a self marker. Red cells lacking CD47 were rapidly cleared from the bloodstream by splenic macrophages. By binding to SIRPα, CD47 controls hemostatic innate immune functions, such as phagocytosis and cell trafficking.
