The Human Gastrin ELISA Kit is specifically designed for the precise measurement of gastrin levels in human samples, including serum, plasma, and cell culture supernatants. This kit offers exceptional sensitivity and specificity, guaranteeing accurate and consistent results for a variety of research purposes.Gastrin is a key hormone that regulates the release of gastric acid in the stomach, playing a critical role in digestion and gut function.
Abnormal levels of gastrin have been linked to various gastrointestinal disorders, including gastric ulcers, gastrinomas, and gastric cancer, making it a valuable biomarker for investigating these conditions and developing potential treatments.Overall, the Human Gastrin ELISA Kit provides researchers with a reliable tool for studying gastrin biology and its implications in gastrointestinal health and disease.

This ELISA kit uses the Competitive-ELISA principle. The micro ELISA plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with GT. During the reaction, GT in the sample or standard competes with a fixed amount of GT on the solid phase supporter for sites on the Biotinylated Detection Ab specific to GT. Excess conjugate and unbound sample or standard are washed away, and Avidin-Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) conjugate are added to each micro plate well and incubated. Then a TMB substrate solution is added to each well. The enzyme-substrate reaction is terminated by the addition of stop solution and the color turns from blue to yellow. The optical density (OD) is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450 nm ± 2 nm. The concentration of GT in tested samples can be calculated by comparing the OD of the samples to the standard curve.
