Inaddition, CHCHD3 may perform as a scaffoldingprotein that stabilizes protein complexes involved in crista architecture andprotein import. CHCHD3 may also act as a transcription factor which binds tothe BAG1 promoter and represses BAG1 transcription. Lung cancer has beenassociated with CHCHD3.
