CarcinoembryonicAntigen-Related Cell Adhesion Molecule 6 (CEACAM6) is a part of the humancarcino-embryonic antigen (CEA) family. CEACAM6 belongs to the glycosylphosphatidylinositol-linkedimmunoglobulin superfamily which is involved in various human cancers. CEACAM6is linked to the progression of pancreatic cancer.
CEACAM6 Human Recombinant produced in Sf9 Baculovirus cells is a single, glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 297 amino acids (35-320) and having a molecular mass of 32.6kDa (Molecular size on SDS-PAGE will appear at approximately 40-57kDa).CEACAM6 is fused to 6 amino acid His-Tag at C-terminus and purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.

This gene affects the sensitivity of tumor cells to adenovirus infection. The protein encoded by this gene acts as a receptor for adherent-invasive E. coli adhesion to the surface of ileal epithelial cells in patients with Crohn's disease.
