The Human CD5 Monoclonal Antibody (PERCP-Cyanine5.5 Conjugated) - (UCHT2) is a vital tool for researchers investigating CD5, a cell surface glycoprotein involved in T-cell activation and signaling. This monoclonal antibody, conjugated with PERCP-Cyanine5.5, is specifically designed for flow cytometry applications in human samples. By targeting the CD5 protein, this antibody allows for precise identification and analysis of T-cells expressing CD5, essential for studying immune responses and T-cell function in various physiological and pathological conditions.CD5, a surface marker found predominantly on T-cells, plays a crucial role in T-cell development, activation, and differentiation.
Understanding the expression and regulation of CD5 is essential for unraveling the complexities of T-cell biology, including immune responses, tolerance mechanisms, and autoimmune diseases. The Human CD5 Monoclonal Antibody (PERCP-Cyanine5.5 Conjugated) - (UCHT2) provides researchers with a reliable tool to investigate the role of CD5 in immunology, infectious diseases, and autoimmune disorders, facilitating groundbreaking discoveries in T-cell biology and immunotherapy research.
Each lot of this antibody is quality control tested by flow cytometric analysis. The amount of the reagent is suggested to be used 5 µL of antibody per test (million cells in 100 µL staining volume or per 100 µL of whole blood). Please check your vial before the experiment. Since applications vary, the appropriate dilutions must be determined for individual use.

Background:
CD5 is a 67 kD single chain type I glycoprotein also known as Leu-1, Ly-1 and T1. It is a member of the scavenger receptor superfamily found on T cells, thymocytes, B cell subsets, chronic B lymphocytic leukemia (B-Cells), and peripheral blood dendritic cells. CD5 modulates T and B cell receptor signaling, thymocyte maturation, and T-B cell interactions upon binding to ligands such as CD72.
