The Human CD5 Monoclonal Antibody (PE Conjugated) (UCHT2) is a cutting-edge tool designed for researchers investigating the CD5 cell surface molecule, a crucial player in immune function and T-cell development. This monoclonal antibody, conjugated with PE for enhanced detection capabilities, is specifically engineered for use in flow cytometry applications, allowing for precise analysis of CD5 expression levels in human samples.CD5, also known as T1 antigen, is a marker of T cells and B-1a cells, playing a vital role in immune responses and tolerance mechanisms. By targeting CD5 with this specialized monoclonal antibody, researchers can gain insights into the distribution and function of CD5-positive cells in various tissues and disease states.
This antibody is rigorously validated for specificity and sensitivity, ensuring reliable data collection and interpretation in immunology and oncology research. As CD5 expression is implicated in a wide range of immune-related conditions, including autoimmune disorders and lymphomas, the Human CD5 Monoclonal Antibody (PE Conjugated) (UCHT2) serves as an invaluable tool for advancing our understanding of immune system dynamics and developing novel therapeutic strategies. Unlock the potential of CD5 research with this high-quality antibody, enabling precise and illuminating investigations into immune cell biology and disease mechanisms.
Each lot of this antibody is quality control tested by flow cytometric analysis. The amount of the reagent is suggested to be used 5 µL of antibody per test (million cells in 100 µL staining volume or per 100 µL of whole blood). Please check your vial before the experiment. Since applications vary, the appropriate dilutions must be determined for individual use.

Background:
CD5 is a 67 kD single chain type I glycoprotein also known as Leu-1, Ly-1 and T1. It is a member of the scavenger receptor superfamily found on T cells, thymocytes, B cell subsets, chronic B lymphocytic leukemia (B-Cells), and peripheral blood dendritic cells. CD5 modulates T and B cell receptor signaling, thymocyte maturation, and T-B cell interactions upon binding to ligands such as CD72.
