The Human CD5 Monoclonal Antibody (APC-conjugated, UCHT2 clone) [AGEL0190] is a powerful tool for immune cell research and flow cytometry applications. This monoclonal antibody specifically targets the CD5 protein found on the surface of T cells, B-1a cells, and some subsets of B cells.CD5 is a cell surface marker that plays a crucial role in regulating immune responses and maintaining tolerance to self-antigens. By binding to CD5, this antibody allows for the accurate detection and analysis of these specific cell populations, aiding in the identification and characterization of various immune cell subsets. With its APC conjugation, this antibody offers strong and stable fluorescence signals for flow cytometry experiments, enabling precise and reliable detection of CD5-expressing cells.
Its compatibility with human samples ensures consistent and accurate results in research settings focused on immunology, autoimmunity, and lymphoproliferative disorders.By using the Human CD5 Monoclonal Antibody (APC-conjugated, UCHT2 clone) [AGEL0190], researchers can gain valuable insights into the function and behavior of immune cells expressing CD5, paving the way for advancements in immunotherapy, autoimmune disease research, and the understanding of immune system dysregulation in various pathological conditions.
Each lot of this antibody is quality control tested by flow cytometric analysis. The amount of the reagent is suggested to be used 5 µL of antibody per test (million cells in 100 µL staining volume or per 100 µL of whole blood). Please check your vial before the experiment. Since applications vary, the appropriate dilutions must be determined for individual use.

Background:
CD5 is a 67 kD single chain type I glycoprotein also known as Leu-1, Ly-1 and T1. It is a member of the scavenger receptor superfamily found on T cells, thymocytes, B cell subsets, chronic B lymphocytic leukemia (B-Cells), and peripheral blood dendritic cells. CD5 modulates T and B cell receptor signaling, thymocyte maturation, and T-B cell interactions upon binding to ligands such as CD72.
