The Human CD44 Monoclonal Antibody PE Conjugated (J110) (AGEL2102) is a specialized tool designed for researchers studying CD44, a cell surface glycoprotein involved in cell adhesion and migration. This monoclonal antibody targets the human form of CD44 and is conjugated to the fluorophore phycoerythrin (PE) for easy visualization and analysis using flow cytometry or fluorescence microscopy techniques.CD44 is known for its diverse roles in various biological processes, including cell-cell interactions, lymphocyte homing, and signaling pathways related to cancer progression and metastasis. By specifically binding to CD44, this monoclonal antibody enables precise detection and quantification of CD44 expression in different cell types and tissues.
Its use is validated for applications such as immunofluorescence staining, cell sorting, and multiparameter flow cytometry assays, providing researchers with a reliable tool for investigating the functions of CD44 in both normal and pathological conditions.Given the involvement of CD44 in processes such as inflammation, wound healing, and tumor development, understanding its expression patterns and regulation is crucial for advancing research in fields like immunology, oncology, and stem cell biology. The Human CD44 Monoclonal Antibody PE Conjugated (J110) (AGEL2102) offers a reliable reagent to aid in these investigations, facilitating the exploration of CD44-related mechanisms and potential therapeutic targets in various disease contexts.

Background:
CD44 is a 80-95 kD glycoprotein also known as Hermes, Pgp1, H-CAM, or HUTCH. It is expressed on all leukocytes, endothelial cells, hepatocytes, and mesenchymal cells. As B and T cells become activated or progress to the memory stage, CD44 expression increases from a low or mid level of intensity to high expression levels. Thus, CD44 has been reported to be a valuable marker for memory cell subsets. CD44 is an adhesion molecule involved in leukocyte attachment to and rolling on endothelial cells, homing to peripheral lymphoid organs and to the sites of inflammation, and leukocyte aggregation.
