The Human CD41 Monoclonal Antibody PE-Cyanine5.5 Conjugated (HIP8, AGEL1136) available at www.assaygenie.com is a cutting-edge tool for researchers investigating CD41, a protein expressed on the surface of platelets and megakaryocytes. This antibody, developed using innovative technology, is optimized for flow cytometry applications to detect and analyze CD41 expression in human samples with high specificity and sensitivity.CD41, also known as integrin alpha IIb, forms a crucial part of the platelet glycoprotein complex involved in blood clotting and thrombosis. By targeting CD41, researchers can gain insights into platelet function, hematopoiesis, and vascular biology, making it an essential component of studies on cardiovascular diseases, hemostasis disorders, and thrombotic conditions.
The CD41 Monoclonal Antibody PE-Cyanine5.5 Conjugated is a versatile tool for investigating the role of CD41 in various biological processes, offering precise and reliable results for flow cytometry experiments. Its utility in studying platelet biology and related disorders positions it as a valuable resource for advancing research in hematology and cardiovascular medicine.
Each lot of this antibody is quality control tested by flow cytometric analysis. The amount of the reagent is suggested to be used 5 µL of antibody per test (million cells in 100 µL staining volume or per 100 µL of whole blood). Please check your vial before the experiment. Since applications vary, the appropriate dilutions must be determined for individual use.

Background:
CD41 is a 125/25 kD α subunit of the gpIIb/IIIa (CD41/CD61) complex. CD41 is a heterodimer composed of a heavy chain (gpIIbα) and light chain (gpIIbβ) linked by a single disulfide bond. It is a member of the integrin family primarily expressed on platelets and megakaryocytes. CD41 has been reported to be involved with platelet aggregation and platelet attachment to the ECM. CD41/CD61 complex acts as the receptor for fibrinogen, fibronectin, Von Willebrand factor and thrombin.
