The Human CD4 Monoclonal Antibody (PE Conjugated) RPA-T4 (AGEL0400) is a valuable tool for researchers studying CD4, a crucial cell surface marker involved in immune responses. This monoclonal antibody specifically targets human CD4 protein, facilitating its detection and analysis in various cell types. The PE conjugation enhances the antibody's utility for flow cytometry applications, allowing for precise identification and quantification of CD4-positive cells.CD4, also known as T-cell co-receptor, is integral to the functioning of the immune system, particularly in orchestrating T-cell activation and differentiation. Understanding the expression and regulation of CD4 is essential for unraveling immune mechanisms in health and disease, including infections, autoimmune conditions, and immunodeficiencies.
The availability of a validated, PE-conjugated CD4 monoclonal antibody like RPA-T4 (AGEL0400) streamlines research efforts in immunology, molecular biology, and clinical diagnostics.Researchers can rely on this high-quality antibody to advance their investigations into CD4 biology, immune cell profiling, and therapeutic development targeting CD4-related pathways. Its specificity, sensitivity, and compatibility with flow cytometry platforms make it a valuable asset for unraveling the complexities of immune responses and paving the way for innovative immunotherapies.
Each lot of this antibody is quality control tested by flow cytometric analysis. The amount of the reagent is suggested to be used 5 µL of antibody per test (million cells in 100 µL staining volume or per 100 µL of whole blood). Please check your vial before the experiment. Since applications vary, the appropriate dilutions must be determined for individual use.

Background:
CD4, also known as T4/Leu-3, is a 55 kD single-chain type I transmembrane glycoprotein and member of the immunoglobulin superfamily. It is expressed on most thymocytes, helper T cells, type II NKT cells, and monocytes/macrophages. CD4 is part of the TCR/CD3 complex, binds to β2 domain from the MHC class II molecule, and participates in TCR signal transduction. CD4 is the receptor of IL-16 and is a coreceptor for the human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) and human herpes virus 7 (HHV-7).
