The Human CD25 Monoclonal Antibody (BC96) is a PE-conjugated antibody specifically designed for research involving the CD25 antigen, also known as the interleukin-2 receptor alpha chain. This antibody, raised in mice, is highly reactive with human samples and is validated for use in flow cytometry applications. It binds to the CD25 protein, enabling precise detection and analysis in various cell types, making it ideal for studies in immunology and cancer research.CD25 is a crucial component of the interleukin-2 receptor complex, playing a vital role in T cell activation and proliferation. Its expression on regulatory T cells is particularly significant in immune tolerance and the maintenance of self-tolerance.
Studies involving CD25 are essential for understanding immune responses, tolerance mechanisms, and the development of immunotherapies for various diseases, including cancer and autoimmune disorders. The Human CD25 Monoclonal Antibody (BC96) offers researchers a powerful tool to investigate the role of CD25 in immune regulation and disease pathogenesis. With its high specificity and sensitivity, this antibody facilitates accurate and reliable analysis of CD25 expression in diverse research settings, providing valuable insights into the complex mechanisms of immune function.
Each lot of this antibody is quality control tested by flow cytometric analysis. The amount of the reagent is suggested to be used 5 µL of antibody per test (million cells in 100 µL staining volume or per 100 µL of whole blood). Please check your vial before the experiment. Since applications vary, the appropriate dilutions must be determined for individual use.

Background:
CD25 is a 55 kD type I transmembrane glycoprotein also known as the low affinity IL-2 receptor α chain or Tac. It is expressed on progenitor lymphocytes, activated T and B cells, and activated monocytes/macrophages. CD25 is also expressed on a subset of non-stimulated CD4+ T cells termed T regulatory cells. CD25 associates with the IL-2 receptor β (CD122) and common γ chains (CD132) to form the high affinity IL-2R complex.
