The Human CD2 Monoclonal Antibody (PERCP-conjugated) TS1/8 (AGEL1767) is a specialized tool for research involving CD2, a key cell surface molecule essential in immune response regulation. This monoclonal antibody is meticulously developed for precise detection and analysis of CD2 protein in human samples, making it an invaluable asset in immunology and cancer research.CD2, a glycoprotein expressed on T cells and natural killer cells, plays a pivotal role in immune system activation and coordination of immune cell interactions. By targeting CD2, researchers can explore its involvement in immune signaling pathways, T cell activation, and immune cell function modulation.
The monoclonal antibody TS1/8 specifically recognizes and binds to CD2, enabling accurate measurement and visualization of CD2 expression levels in various cell types.Given the importance of CD2 in orchestrating immune responses and its implications in diseases like cancer and autoimmune disorders, studying its function is crucial for developing targeted therapies and understanding immune dysregulation mechanisms. The PERCP-conjugated TS1/8 monoclonal antibody offers researchers a reliable tool to delve deep into CD2 biology and unravel its contribution to immune-mediated diseases, paving the way for innovative therapeutic approaches.
Each lot of this antibody is quality control tested by flow cytometric analysis. The amount of the reagent is suggested to be used 5 µL of antibody per test (million cells in 100 µL staining volume or per 100 µL of whole blood). Please check your vial before the experiment. Since applications vary, the appropriate dilutions must be determined for individual use.

Background:
CD2 is a 50 kD type I transmembrane glycoprotein also known as LFA-2, T11, and sheep red blood cell receptor (SRBC-R). This immunoglobulin superfamily member is expressed on thymocytes, T lymphocytes, NK cells, and thymic B cell subsets. The major ligand for CD2 is CD58 (also known as LFA-3). CD2 has also been reported to bind CD48, CD59, and CD15. CD2 plays a critical role in alternative T cell activation, T cell signaling, and cell-cell adhesion.
