The Human CD2 Monoclonal Antibody (AF647 Conjugated) - TS1/8 (AGEL1773) offered by Assaygenie is a cutting-edge tool for research involving the CD2 protein, a key cell surface marker involved in T cell activation and signaling. This monoclonal antibody, conjugated with AF647 for enhanced detection capabilities, is designed for use in immune-related studies, particularly in the fields of immunology and cancer research.CD2 is a critical molecule found on the surface of T cells that plays a central role in mediating immune responses and cell-to-cell interactions. By targeting CD2 with this highly specific monoclonal antibody, researchers can effectively detect and analyze the expression and distribution of CD2 in various cell types and tissues. This enables a deeper understanding of T cell function, activation, and immune response modulation, making it an invaluable tool for investigating immune-related diseases and therapies.
The exceptional specificity and sensitivity of the Human CD2 Monoclonal Antibody (AF647 Conjugated) - TS1/8 (AGEL1773) from Assaygenie make it a reliable choice for immunological research applications such as flow cytometry, immunofluorescence, and immunohistochemistry. With its ability to precisely target and visualize CD2-expressing cells, this antibody facilitates detailed investigations into immune cell dynamics, immune system disorders, and immune-based therapies. Trust Assaygenie's expertise and innovation to advance your research in the field of immunology and beyond.
Each lot of this antibody is quality control tested by flow cytometric analysis. The amount of the reagent is suggested to be used 5 µL of antibody per test (million cells in 100 µL staining volume or per 100 µL of whole blood). Please check your vial before the experiment. Since applications vary, the appropriate dilutions must be determined for individual use.

Background:
CD2 is a 50 kD type I transmembrane glycoprotein also known as LFA-2, T11, and sheep red blood cell receptor (SRBC-R). This immunoglobulin superfamily member is expressed on thymocytes, T lymphocytes, NK cells, and thymic B cell subsets. The major ligand for CD2 is CD58 (also known as LFA-3). CD2 has also been reported to bind CD48, CD59, and CD15. CD2 plays a critical role in alternative T cell activation, T cell signaling, and cell-cell adhesion.
