The Human CD11b Monoclonal Antibody (FITC Conjugated) ICRF44 (AGEL1749) available at Assay Genie is a valuable tool for studying the CD11b protein, a marker commonly used to identify and characterize monocytes, macrophages, and granulocytes in human samples. This monoclonal antibody specifically recognizes the CD11b antigen and is conjugated with FITC for easy fluorescence detection.CD11b is a crucial integrin receptor involved in various immune responses, such as phagocytosis, cell adhesion, and migration. Its expression on myeloid cells plays a significant role in inflammatory processes and host defense mechanisms. The CD11b Monoclonal Antibody (FITC Conjugated) ICRF44 (AGEL1749) is ideal for flow cytometry and immunofluorescence applications, enabling precise visualization and quantification of CD11b-positive cells in different experimental settings.
With its high specificity and sensitivity, this antibody provides researchers with a powerful tool to investigate the function and regulation of CD11b in immune responses, inflammation, and disease pathology. Whether studying immune cell populations in health or disease, this antibody offers reliable and reproducible results for researchers in immunology, microbiology, and cancer biology fields.

Background:
CD11b is a 165-170 kD type I transmembrane glycoprotein also known as αMintegrin, Mac-1, CR3, and C3biR. CD11b non-covalently associates with integrin β2(CD18) and is expressed on granulocytes, monocytes/macrophages, dendritic cells, NK cells, and subsets of T and B cells. CD11b/CD18 is critical for the transendothelial migration of monocytes and neutrophils. It is also involved in granulocyte adhesion, phagocytosis, and neutrophil activation. CD11b/CD18 interacts with ICAM-1 (CD54), ICAM-2 (CD102), ICAM-4, CD14, CD23, heparin, iC3b, fibrinogen, and factor X.
