The Human CD11b Monoclonal Antibody (AF647 Conjugated, ICRF44) is a valuable tool for a variety of research applications involving CD11b, a cell surface molecule primarily expressed on the surface of macrophages, monocytes, and granulocytes. This monoclonal antibody, conjugated with AF647 for fluorescent detection, specifically targets the CD11b protein in human samples, allowing for precise visualization and analysis in immunological and cell biology studies.CD11b, also known as integrin alpha M, plays a crucial role in mediating cell adhesion and migration, as well as in phagocytosis and immune response regulation. It is a key marker for identifying and studying myeloid lineage cells involved in inflammation, infection response, and tissue repair processes. By targeting CD11b with this monoclonal antibody, researchers can accurately identify and track the activity of these immune cells in various experimental settings, providing insights into their functions and interactions within the immune system.
This CD11b monoclonal antibody is an essential tool for investigating the roles of myeloid cells in inflammation, infection, autoimmune diseases, and cancer. Its fluorescence conjugation enables easy detection and visualization in flow cytometry, immunofluorescence, and other fluorescence-based assays, facilitating detailed analysis of CD11b-expressing cell populations. With its high specificity and sensitivity, this antibody is invaluable for researchers aiming to elucidate the complex functions of CD11b-positive cells in both health and disease contexts.

Background:
CD11b is a 165-170 kD type I transmembrane glycoprotein also known as αMintegrin, Mac-1, CR3, and C3biR. CD11b non-covalently associates with integrin β2(CD18) and is expressed on granulocytes, monocytes/macrophages, dendritic cells, NK cells, and subsets of T and B cells. CD11b/CD18 is critical for the transendothelial migration of monocytes and neutrophils. It is also involved in granulocyte adhesion, phagocytosis, and neutrophil activation. CD11b/CD18 interacts with ICAM-1 (CD54), ICAM-2 (CD102), ICAM-4, CD14, CD23, heparin, iC3b, fibrinogen, and factor X.
