The Human CD11a Monoclonal Antibody (PE Conjugated, TS1/22) is a powerful tool for researchers studying cell adhesion molecules and immune system function. This antibody specifically targets CD11a, a key integrin involved in leukocyte migration and activation. With its PE conjugation, this antibody allows for easy visualization and quantification of CD11a-expressing cells using flow cytometry or fluorescence microscopy.CD11a plays a crucial role in a wide range of immune responses, including T cell activation, leukocyte recruitment to sites of inflammation, and immune surveillance. Dysregulation of CD11a expression or function has been implicated in various inflammatory and autoimmune diseases, making it a promising target for therapeutic intervention.
With its high specificity and sensitivity, the Human CD11a Monoclonal Antibody (PE Conjugated, TS1/22) from AssayGenie provides researchers with a reliable tool for investigating the role of CD11a in health and disease. Whether studying immune cell interactions, inflammatory processes, or therapeutic targeting strategies, this antibody offers valuable insights into the complex mechanisms of the immune system. Trust AssayGenie for quality antibodies that accelerate your research endeavors.

Background:
CD11a is a 170-180 kD type I transmembrane glycoprotein also known as LFA-1α chain and integrin αL subunit. CD11a non-covalently associates with integrin β2 (CD18) to form LFA-1. It is expressed on all leukocytes, including B and T lymphocytes, monocytes, macrophages, neutrophils, basophils and eosinophils. It is absent on non-hematopoietic tissues and platelets. CD11a plays a central role in leukocyte cell-cell interactions and is important in lymphocyte costimulation. CD11a/CD18 binds to ICAM-1 (CD54), ICAM-2 (CD102), and ICAM-3 (CD50).
