The Human CD11a Monoclonal Antibody (AF488 Conjugated) - R7-1 (AG2089) is a valuable tool for researchers studying the CD11a protein, a cell surface molecule associated with immune responses and cell adhesion. This monoclonal antibody, conjugated with AF488 for fluorescent detection, has been specifically designed for use in fluorescence-based assays and imaging techniques.CD11a, also known as integrin alpha L, is a crucial component of the Lymphocyte Function-associated Antigen 1 (LFA-1) complex, which plays a key role in immune cell interactions and migration. By targeting CD11a with this monoclonal antibody, researchers can analyze and visualize the expression and localization of CD11a in various cell types and tissues.
The CD11a Monoclonal Antibody (AF488 Conjugated) - R7-1 (AG2089) offers high specificity and sensitivity in detecting CD11a, making it an essential tool for studies focusing on immune cell activation, adhesion, and migration. Its fluorescent conjugation allows for easy visualization and quantification of CD11a expression, providing valuable insights into immune system function and potential therapeutic targets.
Each lot of this antibody is quality control tested by flow cytometric analysis. The amount of the reagent is suggested to be used 5 µL of antibody per test (million cells in 100 µL staining volume or per 100 µL of whole blood). Please check your vial before the experiment. Since applications vary, the appropriate dilutions must be determined for individual use.

Background:
CD11a is a 170-180 kD type I transmembrane glycoprotein also known as LFA-1α chain and integrin αL subunit. CD11a non-covalently associates with integrin β2 (CD18) to form LFA-1. It is expressed on all leukocytes, including B and T lymphocytes, monocytes, macrophages, neutrophils, basophils and eosinophils. It is absent on non-hematopoietic tissues and platelets. CD11a plays a central role in leukocyte cell-cell interactions and is important in lymphocyte costimulation. CD11a/CD18 binds to ICAM-1 (CD54), ICAM-2 (CD102), and ICAM-3 (CD50).
