The Human AQP-4 (Aquaporin-4) ELISA Kit is specifically designed for the accurate measurement of aquaporin-4 levels in human samples such as serum, plasma, and cell culture supernatants. This kit offers high sensitivity and specificity, guaranteeing precise and consistent results, making it an ideal tool for various research applications.Aquaporin-4 is a vital protein involved in the regulation of water transport in the central nervous system, particularly in the brain and spinal cord. Dysregulation of aquaporin-4 has been linked to various neurological disorders, including multiple sclerosis and neuromyelitis optica, highlighting its significance as a potential biomarker for studying these conditions and developing therapeutic interventions.
With its advanced technology and user-friendly features, the Human AQP-4 ELISA Kit provides researchers with a reliable and efficient method for detecting and quantifying aquaporin-4 levels, ultimately advancing our understanding of neurological diseases and facilitating the development of targeted treatments.

This ELISA kit uses the Sandwich-ELISA principle. The micro ELISA plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to Human AQP-4. Standards or samples are added to the micro ELISA plate wells and combined with the specific antibody. Then a biotinylated detection antibody specific for Human AQP-4 and Avidin-Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) conjugate are added successively to each micro plate well and incubated. Free components are washed away. The substrate solution is added to each well. Only those wells that contain Human AQP-4, biotinylated detection antibody and Avidin-HRP conjugate will appear blue in color. The enzyme-substrate reaction is terminated by the addition of stop solution and the color turns yellow. The optical density (OD) is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450 nm ± 2 nm. The OD value is proportional to the concentration of Human AQP-4. You can calculate the concentration of Human AQP-4 in the samples by comparing the OD of the samples to the standard curve.
